This collection of coast boards were created to match a custom board set that I produced for a customer a short time ago. The boards feature a section of ocean that is approximately 5" (12cm) wide with a similarly sized beach area. The customer requested white caps on the breaking waves but I found it effective to have all the waves touched with white as though a strong onshore breeze was blowing over a shallow bay. The surface is a siliconized acrylic caulk which holds the shape of cresting waves well. Beneath the waves is a layer of resin to give stronger illusion of depth. Rocks were added to the mouth of the inlet to provide an opportunity to have the waves crashing over rocks.
