Battle of Raab Board Set- Cost Varies on Set Specifications

This project is designed to produce a diorama for a section of battlefield occupied during the Battle of Raab, and to be populated by historical miniatures. The customer worked with me over several weeks to adjust the scale of the boards to meet his figures needs (28mm flats) while preserving the feeling and layout of the field. Discussion of the set was facilitated through videos posted to YouTube and you can view much of the construction process by reviewing them here.

Several new techniques were employed for this project including mounting tree bases into a slope for the hilll and swamp, and a deeper water way that shows a muddy bottom dimly through the water.

The boards are 20" x 24" and the six board set measures 60" x 48" total. Each board is mounted on 3/16" hardboard.
