Muddy/Cratered Boards and Trench Set- $330

This board set was developed for a WWI diorama and has been finished with the expectation of adding additional pieces to the set in the future. Each board is 18" x 24" giving a total layout of 36" x 48". The customer requested a cratered muddy field dotted with a few dead/damaged trees seperating the two trench lines. The set includes two trench sets and they have been modified to accomodate barbed wire. AS in WWI the barbed wire was often strung in linear or jumbled fasion the normal corkscrew wind was abandoned for the more haphapzard wrapping around fixed poles mounted in the trenches. This set up allows the customer to quickly adjust the layout as desired and then wrap the wire around the posts as needed. Each trench side in the photos below has two 40" strands of wire strung on them. A walnut veneer was applied to the outside edges of the long sides of the set, allowing for additional boards to be added at the end and interior of the set at later date without veneer appearing on an interior seam.
